Bathroom Renovation
Daisy and Lil’s bathroom renovation is a perfect example of how bold design and smart planning can completely transform even the most challenging of spaces. Once a crumbling, barely functional room, it’s now a bold and practical space designed to maximise storage without feeling crowded.
Before
After
What was the biggest challenge with your old bathroom?
"The old bathroom was very dilapidated and when we moved in we were forced to use it with only the bath working because the old shower head had seized up; the walls around us were literally crumbling away. As it was such a small space, finding the right items to fill it was a challenge but we knew that colour and practicality were our main objectives."
What was the brief for the renovation?
"We wanted to maximise the space with plenty of storage without making the room feel crowded. It was important to us that the room be colourful and warm."
What inspired your design choices?
"We knew we wanted blue and red as the main colour combination and we love brass taps and fittings. We're not shy when it comes to colour (we have a pink kitchen!) and love a bit of pattern clashing so once we'd picked the tiles we were able to select the furniture to utilise the space to its potential whilst maintaining the colourful style we have."
What feature makes the biggest difference in your new bathroom?
"Having a concealed shower valve means that we can turn the shower on and allow it to heat up before getting in meaning you don't get covered in cold water before stepping in which is a treat."
