With four children sharing one busy family bathroom, mornings and evenings had become a daily juggle. To ease the pressure, this family decided to create a stylish yet practical Jack & Jill en suite for their two eldest - something that felt special, worked hard, and stood the test of time. The result is a bathroom that combines ample storage, clever low-maintenance design, and timeless finishes.
What made you take on a bathroom renovation?
"We have four children and mornings and evenings are hectic with showering and teeth brushing and a girl who does not enjoy sharing a bathroom with little boys with no aim! We wanted to create a stylish but functional Jack & Jill en suite that eased the pressure on the family bathroom but felt special for our two eldest. It has made such a difference and the eldest two have taken such pride in the bathroom since it’s been finished."
What was the brief for the redesign?
"Storage and ease of cleaning! We knew from our previous family bathroom, that looked amazing but had no storage, that any successful bathroom has oodles of it. We are also not cleaning slaves so wanted a low maintenance bathroom. There is ample storage for all the lotions and potions and cleaning products. We also opted for wall hung units as it’s so easy to keep the floor underneath clean, together with a closed back to wall toilet. Again, so easy to clean and no unsightly pipe work harbouring dust. Finally, we wanted something that’s high quality and classic, so the sturdy sanitaryware and storage in neutral colours were a key element of that."
What part of your new bathroom are you most pleased about?
"We are so happy with it all but we particularly love the colour of the units and the functional storage they provide. Simple but clever things like the built in chargers keeps clutter on the counters to a minimum. We also hope that the neutral colour way and stainless steel hardware will stay classic and timeless as they grow. It’s a really lovely bathroom to use and so easy to keep clean."
